Driving engagement for The Circle

The Circle is like no other reality show. Produced by Studio Lambert and Motion Content Group and broadcast on Channel 4, the aim of the game was to be voted the most popular by fellow Players – the twist being that the Players never met each other face-to-face and only communicated through an app called The Circle. Working alongside Studio Lambert and Channel 4, Somethin’ Else’s Studio Live team built new accounts for the show and quickly generated new audiences.

Over a 18 night broadcast in 2018, including a live final, a team comprising a PD, social producers and an app producer delivered hundreds of pieces of content. Notable executions included hosts Alice Levine and Maya Jama taking over the Instagram Story for a watch-a-long, a Facebook live-stream from the tank of fan favourite Fiji the turtle, and exclusive exit interviews from blocked Players. The show was a nightly hit with an engaged social community watching, tweeting and interacting with all the fun, laughs and drama. 

By the series finale, the show had built a loyal audience of over 70K and saw multiple top trends throughout the series.
