The personal information we collect from you when you contact us is your name, email and (when provided) phone number and physical address. The legal basis on which Somethin’ Else processes your personal information is its Legitimate Interest in producing and developing content for our programmes as well as administering the production of that content.

Somethin’ Else is the ‘data controller’ of this information. This means that Somethin’ Else decides what your personal information is used for, and the ways in which it is processed. Retaining your personal information

We will keep your data from phone calls, emails, social media messages and letters in line with our data retention policy, and no longer than is required for us to produce and manage the content for which we have collected your data. Your data will then be destroyed. The periods for which your data will be held can be obtained from the production team of the programme you have contacted.

Sharing your information

The information you provide will not be shared with anyone outside the production team of the programme you have contacted.
In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

Your rights and more information

You can:

  • access and obtain a copy of your data on request;
  • require us to change incorrect or incomplete data;
  • require us to delete or stop processing your data, for example where the data is no longer necessary for the purposes of processing; and
  • object to the processing of your data where Somethin’ Else is relying on its legitimate interests as the legal ground for processing.
