We are excited that we have once again been the producers of the Mental Health Minute, running across BBC and UK commercial radio on the 18th May.
The Mental Health Minute saw every single radio network in the UK come together to broadcast the same special message at the same time. The content was produced by Somethin’ Else, to mark the start of Mental Health Awareness Week and highlight the importance of talking about mental health during the coronavirus pandemic. The message was broadcast to over 20 million radio listeners.
In the 2020 #MentalHealthMinute The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are joined by England Captain Harry Kane, singer-songwriter Dua Lipa, two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, and actor David Tennant. The script focusses on how people can support each other during the Covid-19 crisis, highlighting that, whoever you are and whatever you’re going through, you are not alone and it’s OK to reach out.
Alongside the radio broadcast, Somethin’ Else has produced a suite of social assets which will be distributed by all partners in the project including over 300 radio stations.
The Mental Health Minute is a collaboration between Somethin’ Else, The RadioCentre and Heads Together – the mental health campaign coordinated by the The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Royal Foundation.
