Co-presenter of BBC Radio 1Xtra’s breakfast show, Zena kick starts weekday mornings alongside Trevor Nelson playing the best in urban chart music.

Vibrant, bubbly and an absolute natural when interviewing (it must be her girl-next-door charm), Zena has interviewed RnB royalty including Mary J Blige and Usher.

Zena’s energetic and cheeky style doesn’t go a miss when she presents ‘Bite’, an online weekly online video blog for Channel4.com, giving viewers the low down on fashion, music, the latest gadgets to underground club / bar launches and quirky places to go and things to see. Already into series two, Zena has burned serious rubber at a track day in Brands Hatch (giggling and pouting all the way of course), stayed looking youthful and gorgeous (and as serious as she can be) doing facial yoga and danced the Lindyhop.

Originally hailing from Birmingham, Zena moved to London in 1999 to peruse her dream of singing and dancing and it wasn’t long before she achieved one of her goals in becoming a singer for an up and coming girl band, Mis-teeq. After leaving the original line up of British Garage/RnB girl group Mis-teeq in 2001, Zena embarked on a solo career, which saw her record with the likes of Bobby Brown and Beenie Man.

In 2006 Zena presented her own Entertainment show ‘In the Mix’ on newly launched Urban lifestyle channel, ‘Just Fabulous TV’ where she honed her celebrity interviewing skills by bringing red carpet gossip from film premiers and backstage interviews from some of the hottest entertainment events including O2 Wireless Festival, MOBOs and the World Music Awards.

Always game-for-a laugh, Zena has a zest for life, which is rarely rivaled and is having no trouble establishing herself as a successful radio and TV presenter.
