The Kiss 100 Breakfast show was never going to be the same after signing up Rickie and Melvin as their new hosts in 2007 and it is clear after making Broadcast’s Hot 100 radio talent list 2008, Rickie and Melvin are definitely stepping up the Breakfast show competition.

Rickie is also the MTV News- hound that brings viewers up to speed on the hottest music news, the latest crazes and celebrity gossip as it happens. He has presented news from the red carpets of the lavish MTV Award ceremonies to London’s biggest film premieres.

An obvious choice for youth programming, Rickie’s strengths lie in his charm and affable personality. Together they also present celebrity interviews for ‘The Hook Up’ on MySpace and have rubbed shoulders with Alicia Keys, Kelli Rowland and John Legend to name a few.

Previously a broadcast assistant for BBC Radio 1Xtra when the digital station first went on air, Rickie leapt at the chance to hone his skills, voicing trails for the station and hosting a weekly hip hop talent contest ‘The Jump Off’.

In the little time Rickie spends away from Kiss and MTV, both he and Melvin indulge in numerous aspects of social- networking. Their MySpace site and monthly club nights are a great way for them to keep their growing legion of listeners and viewers faithful and involved in their antics.
