Kojo has fast become one of the biggest talents to come out of the black comedy circuit and has been named "Best Male Comedian" at the Black Entertainment Comedy Awards a hat trick of times.
September 2007 saw Kojo fulfill his childhood dream of selling out the Hackney Empire with a celebrity star studded audience for his second one- man show ‘The Fresh Prince of Hackney’. The cream of British talent in TV, sport and music arrived in their droves to support their pal Kojo, filmed as an MTV Base Special which aired in November.
Co-presenting CBBC’s Saturday morning show ‘The Mighty Truck’, made Kojo an instant hit with his endless energy and comedic timing. Kojo showed a much more laid back presenting style on Channel U’s ‘The Ballers’ Show’ where he caught up with some the country’s most stylish footballers to talk about their rise from humble beginnings to premiership football, their spending habits and sometimes controversial tabloid headlines.
Not letting go of his comedy roots, Kojo has toured across the world from Amsterdam to New York and performed in Ghana and Nigeria where the African Comedy Festival is held and even found time to introduce London's first black comedy club, ‘Da Comedy Fun House’, which has seen the likes of US comedy heavyweights take centre stage from Dave Chapelle to Kevin Hart alongside the best of the UK’s comedy talent.
An engineered steady rise to fame includes a stint on digital radio station BBC 1Xtra, MTV and Choice FM’s Breakfast show where Kojo made full use of his charm and wit to interview a host of celebrities.
