The new series of BBC South’s Inside Out with Joe Crowley kicked off in February 2008 in its new Friday night prime time slot. A more hard- hitting version of the magazine style show has been a success with audience share and ratings in the last two years.

Taking over as the presenter of the flagship show has seen Joe investigating stories, going undercover and door-stopping villains across Southern England and this great work won him Regional TV Personality of the Year at the RTS Southern Awards in February 2008 within his first year presenting the show.

Prior to Inside Out Joe, a History graduate from Cambridge University, indulged in all things historic and even tutored History to GCSE students.

A performer at heart having featured in productions for BBC Radio 4 as well as ‘Into The Woods’, ‘Fiddler on the Roof’, ‘The Twelfth Night’ and ‘Pendragon’. Joe has also enjoyed behind the scenes as an independent documentary filmmaker and as a producer and production assistant casting for theatre productions such as ‘The Revenger’s Tragedy’ and the ‘2005 Tour of the National Theatre Production of An Inspector Calls’.

A self- confessed extreme sports addict, Joe relishes the great outdoors and wildlife. A keen scuba diver, rock climber, skier and hiker, Joe is ready to take on any challenge.
