We’re a unique content design company, creating things millions of people watch, listen to and play with every day. Confident across many platforms, we design and create content for users and audiences, and we build the technology to deliver it.
We do it for broadcasters, brands and publishers (as clients and as partners) and we do it for ourselves, too. We’re concerned with audience and user needs—we develop the right product on the right platforms by seeing things through their eyes.
Let’s say we’re cracking an iPad book design for Kew like Plant Hunters; you’ll find Gardeners’ Question Time producers in the same room as user experience designers, iOS engineers and filmmakers.
Or we’ve realised we need to invent the future of mass-market storytelling using social media; a talent manager, a database engineer and a scriptwriter are all part of the team who design a tool for writers to publish in-character Facebook and Twitter updates.
Or we’re hatching a new interactive radio format for the BBC; social media experts, radio producers and presenters will meet to work it out.
Our environment inspires creativity to emerge by identifying problems, exploring constraints and demonstrating passion to deliver great projects for our clients and partners. We employ tried-and-tested ideas from innovation research and design, which we’d be happy to talk you through.
We like to start as early as possible in the design process, as close to the problem as possible, but we’re a great partner at any stage of a project.
Our post-production department is world-class, with professional studios and V/O facilities. We’re not ones to keep things to ourselves though, so these facilities are available for hire.
