Music Manifesto

Music Manifesto, web content production

The Music Manifesto is a ground-breaking joint venture between the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) and the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to improve the provision of music education for children and young people across the UK.

One of the project's most significant milestones is a two day 'festival-style conference' celebrating the state of the sector, to be held at the Roundhouse in January 07. Building up to the event, Somethin' Else are creating a four-month 'season' of online content, which is located within the Manifesto's website and promoted by a weekly email mailout.

The content - presented as video, audio, text and photographic galleries - brings together comment and debate, coverage of key events, interviews with both major players in the area and passionate 'grass roots' practitioners and daily news.

Somethin' Else have been commissioned to create this content by Serious, the country's leading specialist music live production company, who are staging the January event. The online project has seen us work closely with a plethora of specialists from the sector, with the Leeds-based web design consultancy Brahm (who were responsible for the build of the MM website) and with the government departments involved.
