Get a Life

Get a Life, TV

Somethin' Else teamed up with Jodie Marsh and LIVINGtv to produce a 6 part series that transforms the lives of five socially challenged 18-30 year olds.

Get a Life is a motivational program following the individuals as they rebuild their confidence and and give their lives a much needed boost, often with a bout of tough love. Specially selected mentors are assigned to some of the country's most socially challenged individuals, and charged with the duty of turning their lives around. The programme aims to not only entertain and inspire viewers but ultimately change lives.

Each episode sees the teams tackling a different skill in a hard-hitting master class with a celebrity expert. Self-confidence, style, assertiveness, relationships and courage will be put to the test throughout the series with points awarded for each task. The individuals' performance is crucial for them to stay in the house and each week the teams with the lowest points will have to fight for survival in a tough elimination. The final two teams will then battle it out head to head to win the ultimate prize - a once in a lifetime trip to New York.

The show marks a presenting debut for Jodie, who has drawn upon her own experiences to help the pupils. Always ready to offer them support, words of wisdom and all round encouragement she watches their progress as they learn to take control of their lives. She enthused: "Get a Life is such a great idea for a show as there are a lot of people out there who feel they are stuck in a rut and hopefully this show will highlight to them the positive changes they can make to achieve a new life.”

The program was executive produced by Leo Burley for Somethin' Else, in partnership with LIVINGtv’s Commissioning Editor Mark Sammon.

Get a Life is our first series to be commissioned for LIVINGtv and we're looking forward to build a strong relationship with the channel.

The series begins on Thursday March 1st at 8pm and runs for 6 weeks.
