James Brown may be Soul Brother Number One, but George Clinton is the undisputed Godfather of FUNK. For over 50 years Clinton -  in a myriad of guises and personalities - has defined what it means to be funky. From his 1950s days  running a doo-wop group out of the back of his barber store, through the mega madness of the monster Parliament/Funkadelic machine of the 70s, to his late 90s hip-hop collaborations with Dre and Snoop, this is one atomic dog who’s long been off his leash.

George Clinton is THE Funk Original, end of story. Without George there'd be no Prince, No Dr Dre, No Outkast.

In Don Lett's hilarious and colourful film we hear from Clinton himself as well as those who've travelled with him in the Funk Mothership and those who've been inspired by him, including Outkast's Andre 3000 and Macy Gray.
