
For this project, we worked with London-based marketing agency Naked to bring a themed radio station across the world. As a concept, the Far Coast retail outlets deliver a cultural environment in which people can relax and drink many blends and styles of coffee and tea. We were required to match the smooth taste of coffee and great design sense with an intelligent mixture of world music and transcultural jazz.
Far Coast Radio was born - a thousand songs running from John Coltrane to Buena Vista Social Club - played out through clever scheduling and hard disk playout software and delivered through Akamai's global content distribution network.
We delivered Far Coast Radio to Coca-cola's Singapore and Oslo retail outlets via a global dedicated audio streaming network. Our radio station played a warm and soulful selection of songs in the morning, blending into African rhythms and trans-cultural Jazz in the afternoon and Latin American Sounds through-out the evening wherever the retail store is located. We're able to schedule the radio station well in advance or change it whenever we need to.
