John McCririck and Christine and Neil Hamilton share their Ten Commandments with Phil Williams; Miquita Oliver runs down her Twisted 10s of Kiss and Tells and Swindles and Tyrants, to name a few; while Neil "Razor" Ruddock and Jon Holmes discuss ‘What's the Fuss About the World Cup?’
Miquita's Twisted 10s are a series of half hour podcasts presented by Channel 4's Miquita Oliver. Covering subjects including Conspiracy Theories, Days That Changed The World and Kiss And Tells, Miquita gives a run down of ten of each from the bizarre to the ridiculous with a little help from a choice mix of celebrity special guests and experts.
In our “Letters To..” series, we take two cultural commentators, furnish them with a laptop each, and give them seven days to argue over a hot topic via email. Our lucky pair then read their correspondence out on air, creating a thirty minute dialogue that just couldn’t happen face to face.
Whether it’s footballer Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock taking on the barbed wit of comedian Jon Holmes over the UK’s obsession with the World Cup, or Big Brother star Faria Alam defending reality TV from an increasingly surreal attack by stand-up Danny Robins, “Letters To…” is a simple show designed to make people think about the issues around them. And in an age where radio interviewers seem to talk more than their interviewees, we decided to create a debate show which would give people a chance to express themselves without constant interruption from an ego with a microphone. Those commentators who take part in it love it, and we hope Channel 4 podcasters do too.
What would you do if you were given moral omnipotence for a day? Which maxims would you have everyone else live and die by? Would you be a benevolent arbiter of good and evil, or allow your personal grievances to dictate policy?
We invited some of our nation's most forthright thinkers to talk us through their very own ten commandments. What resulted was a series of subjective perspectives, outspoken opinion and semi-controlled rants from the likes of George Galloway, Neil and Christine Hamilton and John McCririck.
All three series are available monthly from Channel4radio.com.
