Friday 22nd of June 2007 was a busy day of transatlantic jazz operations for the Somethin' Else jazz department. At 4pm UK time, as Robert and Joby wading in a foot of mud, sound-checking the excellent line-up for the Jazz On 3 live show from the Glastonbury Festival Jazz Lounge (SOIL & 'PIMP' SESSIONS, Empirical and 60s avant-garde sax legend John Tchicai, surreally cast in wellies like everyone else...), Peggy was on solid ground some 3000 miles away, welcoming tenor sax giants Joe Lovano and Dave Liebman into a New York studio to record an exclusive session for the programme in tribute to the late John Coltrane
