At 7pm on Saturday 2nd June Radio Somethin Else kicked off the dance festival calendar with Judge Jules' show coming live from Coloursfest at the Braehead arena in Glasgow. By day Braehead is a shopping center, but for one evening a year 10,000 ravers descend on the site for 12 hours of partying, split over 6 arenas with DJs such as Ferry Corsten, Marco V, Kutski, Seb Fontaine, Axwell & the Tidy Boys, to name but a few.
Hour one of Jules' show was backstage at the Radio 1 outdoor stage with interviews with The Trophy Twins and Randy Katana, as well as reports from his roving reporter - last minute stand in, mother of 3, Kathy Maloy. For hour 2 of the show Jules came live from the Radio 1 outdoor stage in front of thousands of up for it clubbers.
Later that night Radio 1's Essential Mix came live from the festival, with sets from Glasgow resident Simon Foy and dutch legend Marco V, both from the Main Arena.
