Dan Wootton is the British showbiz reporter of the year and one of the most prominent television and radio authorities on pop culture, celebrity and royalty in the UK.

He is the showbiz presenter on ITV’s top-rating morning show Lorraine, bringing all the gossip in his popular segments including the Friday Five.

He is also a columnist for the Daily Mail, writing a weekly TV column called Inside the Box as well as features and interviews across the popular newspaper and Weekend Magazine.

The Dan Wootton Interview is also published every week in Now Magazine.

Dan regularly travels the world to interview the biggest stars in showbiz including Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton, Lady Gaga and Kylie Minogue.

He also regularly appears as a commentator on a number of other TV shows including Fox News, Sky News, BBC News and The Xtra Factor.

Dan was the Showbiz Editor and XS columnist on News of the World between 2007 and 2011.

He was named Showbiz Reporter of the Year at the British Press Awards for breaking a number of agenda setting scoops, including the tragic death of Boyzone star Stephen Gately.

The 28-year-old moved to the UK in 2005 from his native New Zealand where he was a music presenter on the daily live show Good Morning and reporter at broadsheet newspaper The Dominion Post.
