27-year-old Brett Domino (aka. 24-year-old Rob Madin) is a multi-instrumentalist musician and internet star.
Best known for his viral YouTube videos (which are a subtle blend of deadpan humour and innovative musical performance, and have collectively received over 2.8 million views), Brett has also been featured on BBC Radio 1’s Chris Moyles Show, performed on Tim Lovejoy’s ‘Channel Bee’, and baffled Simon Cowell on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.
After the success of the latter, Brett and his electronic keyboard collective (the ‘Brett Domino Trio’) were invited back to feature as the ‘house band’ on two of the live final shows of ITV2’s Britain’s Got More Talent.
Chris Moyles continues to play Brett Domino’s songs on his Breakfast Show and is such a big fan that the Brett Domino Trio (Brett Domino & Steven Peavis… there’s only two of them now) were invited to surprise Chris for his birthday show in February 2011! Brett wrote a special birthday song for Chris and performed it from the Radio 1 Live Lounge.
In November 2010, Brett Domino’s song ‘Gillian McKeith’ reached number 29 in the Official UK Top 40 Chart, and also featured in the top 10 on iTunes. The song, written about Gillian’s behaviour in the Australian jungle on ITV’s ‘I’m A Celebrity…’, was featured on the ITV2 show – ‘…Get Me Out Of Here Now!’.
In 2009, Brett co-wrote and presented Current TV’s ‘50 Greatest Viral Videos’ show, which was first aired on Christmas day and is regularly broadcast on the channel.
He continues to create unique YouTube videos, having recently gained acclaim from such luminaries as Justin Timberlake, Linkin Park and Kraftwerk.
