Jazz on 3 is our longest running weekly show — we’ve been making the programme, presented by our very own Jez Nelson, since it first aired in 1998.

Seeking out the best contemporary jazz in the world is our mission, from the biggest names to the most exciting new talent. So you’ll often find us, along with the best OB team in the business, out and about at venues around the UK.

We also keep an eye on what’s happening in the rest of the world; Jazz on 3 is the place to hear highlights from forward-thinking festivals like Austria’s Saalfelden and New York’s Vision, or discover the Barcelona jazz scene’s best-kept secret. We don’t care whether it’s swinging or skronking, influenced by electronica, alt-rock, hip hop, or bluegrass, just as long as it’s good. Above all, Jazz On 3 celebrates jazz as music that’s living and thriving today.
